Every site sits on energy that had nowhere else to go — gas being burned off, or generation built ahead of the wires to carry it. You choose the region; we handle the pad, the power and the hands on site.

Prepaying fixes the discount, not the rate. Power is indexed to gas and CPI, and the discount applies to whatever the prevailing rate is when you are billed. Prepay covers electricity only — hosting, pad and maintenance are billed monthly throughout the term.

Capacity, power price and availability are indicative and are confirmed on your hosting agreement. Power is quoted all-in at the meter. Ask us for the current position on any region and we will tell you exactly where it stands.

Commercial terms

Priced per kilowatt-hour, billed on what you actually use.

Rates move with the site and the size of the deployment. These are the standard terms; large fleets get their own sheet.

Rate

Before you ship

What we need from you.

Do not have the machines yet? Pick them from our catalogue and we will source and host them on one agreement.

Short list. Most of it you already have if the machines are running somewhere today.

  • Machine list. Model, quantity, and rated power. We confirm compatibility with available cooling before anything ships.
  • Accepted hardware. [SUPPORTED MODELS / GENERATIONS]. Anything drawing more than [XXXX] W per unit needs a hydro slot.
  • Pool configuration. Your pool, your worker naming, your payout address. We configure to your spec and never change it.
  • Read-only pool access. An API key so our reporting can reconcile your payouts against measured hashrate. Read scope only.
  • Freight. You arrange inbound; we receive, inspect, photograph, and report any damage within [XX] hours of delivery.
  • Signed agreement and deposit. Then we schedule your rack window.

From first call to first share.

Scope and quote

You send the machine list and target start date. We come back with the site, the rate, the available slot, and a term sheet — usually within [X] business days.

Agreement and deposit

Hosting agreement signed, deposit received, capacity reserved in your name. You get a named point of contact who stays with your account.

Freight and receiving

You ship to the site address on the agreement. Every pallet is opened, counted, serial-scanned, and photographed. Discrepancies are reported before anything is racked.

Rack and commission

Units are installed, mapped to your account, pointed at your pool, and burned in. We do not call a machine live until it is holding rated hashrate at rated power.

Live and reporting

Dashboard access on day one, alerting from the first hour, and your first statement at the end of the billing period. From there it is our job to keep it boring.

Questions

Things people ask before signing.

Who holds the bitcoin?

You do. Your machines mine to your pool account under your credentials, and the pool pays your wallet directly. Proton never takes custody of mined bitcoin at any point, and we do not need your withdrawal keys to run your fleet. The only access we ask for is a read-only pool API key so reporting can reconcile.

What happens when a machine fails?

Alerting fires the moment a unit drops below its expected hashrate or overheats. On-site technicians work the standard path — reboot, reseat, swap the fan or PSU, then swap the hashboard from spares. If a unit needs a manufacturer RMA, we pull it, document it, and coordinate with you on the return. Labour is included; parts are billed at cost.

Do I pay for power when the site is curtailed?

No. Billing is on metered draw, so if the machines are off, there is nothing to bill. Curtailment events appear on your statement with start time, duration, and cause, so downtime always reconciles against your pool numbers.

Can I visit the site?

Yes, with notice. [VISIT POLICY: NOTICE PERIOD, ESCORT REQUIREMENTS, SAFETY TRAINING] Hosted customers can inspect their own equipment during scheduled visits.

Can I move my machines out before the term ends?

Why is your power cheaper than the grid?

Because at most of our sites there is no grid to buy from. We generate on site from gas that would otherwise be flared or vented, or we sit behind a meter where the alternative is curtailment. That energy has almost no competing buyer, which is what makes the rate work — and it is also why our sites are interruptible by design.

What size deployment do you actually want?

The floor is [XX] machines, and the economics get better for you above [XXX]. Fleets over [XXXX] units get dedicated container space, a custom rate, and their own maintenance schedule. Tell us what you have and we will tell you honestly whether we are the right home for it.
