What this site
collects about you.
How your enquiries, business email, order details and browser preferences are handled, and which services process them.
Covers protonminingco.com and Proton’s business email, including outreach. Proton Mining LLC operates both. The Proton Mining application is a separate product with its own privacy policy, which is the one to read if you hold an account.
Public pages and browser storage
The public service pages require no account and use no advertising trackers. Calculator, order and display preferences may be stored in your browser. Private intake stores only a retry key, a one-way brief fingerprint and a receipt reference in session storage; it does not save your enquiry text or contact details there. The client portal and CRM have separate sign-in.
Private enquiries and email fallback
When secure Energy Sites intake is connected, submitting sends your contact details and brief to Proton’s private request service. A receipt is shown only after durable storage. We use the record to assess and respond to your enquiry, and record its source and qualification status. Referral campaign tags and the referring hostname may accompany the request; we do not run a separate visitor-tracking service. General contact forms and the email fallback open a draft in your mail application; you must send it yourself.
Hosting
The public website is served by GitHub Pages. Requests reach GitHub infrastructure, including your IP address; its processing is covered by the GitHub privacy statement.
The outside services.
Some of these your browser contacts directly, which means your IP address reaches them. Others receive requests from the order service. Which services are used depends on the page and the actions you choose.

Coinbase
The current bitcoin price, from their public price endpoint, on the calculator, the hardware catalogue, and when you open Build your mine. These requests do not send your calculator or builder inputs.
Blockchain.info
The current bitcoin network difficulty, from the calculator, hardware catalogue, and Build your mine, in the same way. Also a bare read.
Cloudflare
Our order service and, when connected, private Energy Sites intake run there. Your submitted details reach the relevant service, along with your IP address. Intake uses a short-lived keyed rate-limit identifier to limit abuse. Enquiry records are private and restricted to explicitly authorized Proton accounts. Cloudflare hosts the service; these requests are not public listings.
Stripe
Only if you choose to pay by card through an enabled checkout. Stripe hosts the payment page and receives your card details. Proton receives payment status and transaction details needed to reconcile the order; our checkout does not collect your card number.
We contact these for you
The order service requests the invoice. The payment provider also processes information associated with the payment you make.
Strike
Creates the bitcoin invoice when that payment option is enabled. The order service requests it and returns the payment instructions to your browser. Strike processes the invoice and resulting payment.
If you would rather not
You can read the public pages with JavaScript disabled and email sales@protonminingco.com directly. Interactive calculations, model browsing and form-generated email drafts need JavaScript. When market-data requests fail, the calculator labels its dated fallback inputs.
Business email and outreach.
Proton writes to and replies to businesses and public bodies by email. These services process that email, and this is what we keep.
Google Workspace
Our email, including sales@protonminingco.com, runs on Google Workspace. Messages you send us, our replies and their attachments are stored and processed by Google as our email provider.
Cursor and xAI
We use AI assistants that run on Cursor’s Grok Bot service, using models from xAI, to help with business email: to research public information about organizations we may write to and their published business contacts, such as a named manager’s role and work email address, to write our emails and replies, using wording we have approved for anything they say about Proton, and to read the replies we receive, including requests to stop email or delete data, and pick out the details you send us, such as site and energy information. Before a reply reaches these assistants we remove email addresses, phone numbers, the name of the person we wrote to, the sender’s name as their email shows it and, where we can recognise it, the signature; the rest of the reply, including any other names in it, is processed by Cursor and xAI for that work. Attachments are passed on as sent. Replies are read by our team’s assistant software, by our own systems and by our team: our own systems check every reply for plain requests to stop email or delete data, without any AI service, except email from existing customers, which a person on our team reads; the assistants read most of the rest, and a person on our team reads any reply no assistant does.
Outreach
We email organizations in the United States about energy that could power bitcoin-mining equipment on site. We use business contact details that the organization or a public record publishes, and we record where each one came from. Every message identifies Proton, gives our postal address and lets you opt out. We honour an opt-out promptly: it goes on a suppression list so that we do not write again.
What we keep
For each conversation we keep the organization, the public source of the contact details, the messages sent and received, and any opt-out, in private storage on Cloudflare. Answers typed on an energy-site scoping page reach the same private service and are handled the same way. We do not sell this information, and we do not share it with other companies without your written consent, apart from the service providers named on this page.
Questions.
Write to sales@protonminingco.com. If you would like the details we hold about you deleted, say so, for example “please delete my data”, and we will action the request within 30 days of recognising it, whether or not we have written to you before. We keep only your email address, on our suppression list, so that we never write to it again.
