Do you only research landfill and flare sites?
We specialize in landfill and stranded gas, including flare sites. We also research operating hydro, already powered sites and other sources when your requirements or a strong site-specific lead justify it. You can request nuclear, wind, solar, geothermal, natural gas generation, biomass or biogas, waste-to-energy, coal, oil, industrial surplus, grid supply and other arrangements. We agree the scope before starting; every source selection remains yours.
How do you decide which sites make my shortlist?
We look for a fit with your location, usable MW, operating hours, delivered-cost target and construction budget, supported by dated evidence. Collection, generation and electrical equipment are useful only if they can be used by your project. Public records alone do not establish owner interest or an available power offer.
What does the service cost?
We quote the research scope before work begins, based on your region, power requirement and depth of diligence. The scope identifies the deliverables, fee and any further work requiring separate agreement. If no site fits, you receive the findings and rejection reasons agreed in that scope.
Will I receive a guaranteed power supply or the lowest price?
The paid service delivers scoped research and a shortlist. Low delivered cost is a search target; we do not guarantee a rate, the lowest market price or a supply agreement. Site owners or energy rights holders must confirm willingness, net available power, terms and access. Construction funding, including any owner contribution, requires separate agreement.
Do I have to host with Proton?
No. Site sourcing is available for your own mining or hosting operation. For machines purchased from Proton, our hosting service is a separate option.
Are these sites already available or under contract?
A shortlist may include opportunities identified from public records and research. We state the confirmation level for each one. Owner interest, energy availability, access and commercial terms must be checked before you rely on a site.
Does existing infrastructure mean the mine is ready?
No. A power plant, substation, gas system or industrial connection may still need upgrades, access agreements and mining equipment. We separate assets reported on site from assets you can actually use, then identify the remaining work. Reuse depends on ownership, equipment condition and usable capacity.
How are fees and capital estimates handled?
Search fees and deliverables are agreed for your brief before work starts. Preliminary capital ranges separate priced work from unresolved items; engineering, inspections and supplier quotes are needed to establish a build budget. Hardware, land and transaction costs are identified separately where relevant.
